2006 DERBY

In the 2006 Fairfield County Fair Derby we ran 2 cars, a 1990 Crown Vic and a 1972 Datsun Wagon.
The Crown Vic was a Family car that we had stopped driving because of numerous oil leaks. We stripped it and painted it in a theme based on Blue Oyster Cult's song ME262, about the Battle of Britain in WWII.
Jake drove the Crown Vic on Friday night and Thomas Ross drove Saturday night. Zack drove the Datsun Friday night in the 4 cylinder division.

2007 DERBY

In the 2007 Fairfield County Fair Derby, we took a car we had been using as an every day driver, a 1986 Cadillac and ran it. The Cadillac was somewhat undersized and was one of few front wheel drive cars in the field.
The fair was in October so we thought we would paint the car like a pumpkin. We used the letters GP instead a number, to represent The Great Pumpkin from the Charlie Brown Specials.
Zack drove it Friday night and got in a few licks before shredding the serpentine belt. After a full day of repairs, Scott drove it Saturday night and also got in some thumps until the transmission let go when we broke a transmission line.
